Larry & Janet Neville share together about, “God’s House.” Larry says, “I feel like the church is in labor and about to give BIRTH to something NEW. The new God does is always about the HARVEST of SOULS.
Daily Devotional, “God’s House #8”
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies are NEW, afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
God is doing something NEW in his HOUSE.
We feel the church is in LABOR! All over the WORLD! The Holy Spirit is giving BIRTH to something NEW! When God gives a Spiritual Awakening it always has to do with SOULS and BIRTHING.
This Sunday the church celebrates PENTECOST.
“You shall observe the festival of weeks, the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the festival of ingathering at the turn of the year” (Exodus 34:22). I Hebrew Pentecost is referred to as, “Feast of Harvest,” “Feast of Weeks,” “Day of First Fruits.” It has to do with New Harvest.
With all that is happening in the world and the church, we believe that this YEAR. This PENTECOST. God is BIRTHING SOMETHING NEW.
Acts 2, On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. 5 At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. 6 When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by the believers 7 They were completely amazed. “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “These people are all from Galilee, 8 and yet we hear them speaking in our own native languages! 12 They stood there amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?”
14 Peter stood up with the eleven apostles and shouted to the crowd. “Listen carefully, my fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem. You need to clearly understand what’s happening here. 15 These people are not drunk like you think they are, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning.
16 This is the fulfillment of what was prophesied through the prophet Joel, for God says: 17 ‘This is what I will do in the last days—I will pour out my Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God.[ac] 18 The Holy Spirit will come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. 19 I will reveal startling signs and wonders in the sky above and mighty miracles on the earth below. Blood and fire and pillars of clouds[ad] will appear. 20 For the sun will be turned dark and the moon blood-red before that great and awesome appearance of the day of the Lord. 21 But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’” (TPT).
The church is in LABOR, all over the WORLD! About to give BIRTH to something NEW!
“Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone” (Zechariah 10:1).
During a time of personal intercessory prayer a few years ago, I felt the Holy Spirit give this to me.
Rain is accomplished by storms, wind, sometimes destructive power along with the life giving rain. In the spiritual the destructive power is the Spiritual warfare that surrounds and attacks the life giving rain. Pentecost was a wonderful outpouring of the rain, souls saved but it was not long until Saul was persecuting the church. The rain came as result of Elijah’s word but then Jezeebel went after him. Spiritual warfare, spiritual storms always surround the outpouring of God’s Spirit. Revival, Outpouring always accompanied by spiritual warfare that rejects in physical attacks. Daniel filled with Spirit and wisdom continually faced warfare around him eventually placed him in the Den if Lions. Three Hebrew Children, Furnace of Fire.
“Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest” (Jeremiah 5:24).
“Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden” (Isaiah 29:14).
SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! God, said, “I will pour out of my SPIRIT!” Elijah’s servant said, “There is a CLOUD!” Elijah said, “RAIN is COMING !”
