Pastor Larry talks about both the movie, "Jesus Revolution" and the "Asbury University Revival." He relates his own experiences related to the Jesus People Revolution. The question is, "Is God moving NOW?" It is time for another Generational Spiritual Awakening?

Chuck Smith said in his autobiography: “Rarely has there been a time in history when a culture has reached a critical mass in which it was so perfectly prepared to discover the person and teaching of Jesus Christ. The Christian church, which from its founding was an outpost on the margin of society, provided the ideal environment for hippies to be reconciled to God and re-enter mainstream culture, yet without letting go of their belief that peace and love should prevail in the world. Once they heard the message and found a church whose doors were open to them, they came flooding in by the hundreds and thousands.”
UNDERSTAND: The church is not passive spectators on the World Scene!
Acts 2:16 NKJV, “But this is what was spoken by the prophet ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.”
Few years into the First Church Paul/Gentiles.
Acts 15:14, 17, NKJV, “Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. “And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: ‘After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; So that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the LORD who does all these things.’”
Revival is Prophesied.
Romans 11:25, NKJV. “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”
Joel 2:23 NKJV, Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.
32: That whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The question is not whether God is going to have a HARVEST of SOULS in a Generation.
The question is, "Who will recognize it, see it and who will God USE to Reap and Preserve the Harvest.
Revival always starts with the: STIRRING OF THE INDIVIDUAL
Revival does not start with a large crowd.
Revival is not an emotion.
Revival is something God does in the hearts of a men or Women.
The danger of being complacent when God wants to move.
Luke 19:41-44, NKJV, “Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. “For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, “and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
God has no GRANDCHILDREN ONLY CHILDREN.
For revival there must be a hunger for God.
We need a level of dissatisfaction with the current situation and desire for MORE!
Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 7:7-8 ESV, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”
John 4:23 ESV, “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”
Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
The church does best when it believes that the end is near and it looks forward to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
James 5:7 NKJV, Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
Matthew 9:16-17 ESV, “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. 17 Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”
2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
