Nothing can steal your Joy and MERRY this Christmas if you know your Source of Joy,
Light came into Darkness
Isaiah 9:2, NIV, The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
Isaiah 8; 21-22, Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God. 22 Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness.
They are looking to HUMAN RESOURCES to fix the darkness.
WE = we have light within us.
WE = are ones to overcome darkness of the world.
We = can overcome poverty, injustice, violence, evil . . .
If we just work together = we will be bring dawn of world of unity and peace.
THATS the MESSAGE of the PANDEMIC: We are in this Together . .. ‘ We can do this . . Yet; we can’t get people to agree on anything during this pandemic.
Wear a Mask, Don’t Wear a mask,
Stay home, don’t stay home,
Get a vaccine Don’t get a Vaccine.
DARK: No one knows how to cure the evil and suffering.
Isaiah 9:5, Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
The Christmas message “a light has dawned.” He has come from outside.
Isaiah 9:6-8, For to us a child is born to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
Mighty God = Everlasting Father = Creator!!!
Yet he is BORN.
“Immanuel”:
He is God, he is human, he is with us.
John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
1 Timothy 3;16, ’’And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh . . . "
The light - God is one of us—he is human.
Hebrews 2:17-28 NLT, Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
Have you been betrayed?
Have you been lonely?
Have you been destitute?
Have you faced death?
So has he!
Larry: “You don’t understand. I have prayed to God for things, and God ignored my prayer.”
Garden of Gethsemane Jesus cried out, “Father . . . may this cup be taken from me” (Matthew 23:39)
He was turned down.
Jesus knows the pain of unanswered prayer.
Some say, “I feel like God has abandoned me.”
What do you think Jesus was saying on the cross “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me” (Matthew 27:46)?
Bible says God has been all the places you have been;
He has been in the darkness you may be in now,
You can trust him;
You can rely on him,
Because he knows
He has the power to comfort, strengthen, and bring you through.
Jesus became flesh in such a way that he knows what it is like to be you.
John 1:9-10, The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
1. Jesus is the divine Light of the world,
2. He brings a new life to replace our spiritual deadness,
3. He shows us the truth that heals our spiritual blindness,
4. He is the beauty that breaks our addictions to money, sex, and power.
5. Wonderful Counselor he walks with us even into and through the shadow of death (Matthew 4:16), where no other companion can go.
6. He is a Light for us when all other lights go out.
Isaiah 53:5, “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
