Till He comes - Speak the Truth

Larry give some Eternal Truths to help guide you through the Pandemic, Elections and Life.

Matthew 28:18-20 NLT, Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

This is what CHRISTIANS called to DO until JESUS RETURNS.

1 Timothy 3:15, The house of God, is the church of the Loving God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

The great challenge and calling for every generation He returns is to preach the truth. Uphold the truth. Be the foundation of truth in the world. Our job is to present a biblical worldview until Jesus returns.

John 7:12-13 NLT, There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some argued, “He’s a good man,” but others said, “He’s nothing but a fraud who deceives the people.” 13 But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.

We have an election coming. We are in the middle of a Pandemic. We don’t know what the economic fallout is going to be. I am going to give to you five truths to consider. They will help guide you during this pandemic, this Election year, and all of your LIFE.

1. The Truth about MONEY

Matthew 6:25 NIV, You cannot serve both God and money.

Materialism is the worldview that believes all that matters is the physical, material world. What matters most is money and the acquiring of possessions.

Luke 12:15 MSG, “A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

2. The Truth about INDIVIDUALISM

Philippians 2:4-5 NLT, “Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”

Individualism is a worldview that puts “me” at the center of everything.

Proverbs 21:17 MSG, “The pursuit of pleasure is never satisfied.”

The Christian worldview is, “What is God’s purpose for my life.”

3. The Truth about GOVERNMENT

The government was Invented by God, and it is good. Jesus was asked by people if they should pay taxes to the government.

Matthew 22:21 NLT, “Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, but give to God what belongs to God.”

Jesus is very clear that the government is to be limited.

4. The Truth about the Sanctity of LIFE

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

All of this was God planned before we were born. The Christian worldview tells us that God has a purpose for every unborn baby.

We are responsible for speaking up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.

5. The Truth about the Sanctity of Marriage

Matthew 19:4-6 CEV, “Jesus answered, “Don’t you know that in the beginning the Creator made a man and a woman? That’s why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. He becomes like one person with his wife. Then they are no longer two people, but one. And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together.”

Hebrews 13:4 TEV, “Marriage is to be honored by all, and husbands and wives must be faithful to each other. God will judge those who are immoral and those who commit adultery.”

The Bible is very clear that Marriage is the union of one man and one woman for life.

With the elections coming, you don’t need to apologize for voting from a Christian worldview. There is nothing wrong questioning those who are asking your vote. Search their track record and their party platform. See if they line up with these truths:

Limited Government

Sanctity of Life

Sanctity of Marriage
